When I started working on the dresser from last post, I looked over and realized that my nightstand needed some work as well. So, I decided to paint it the same color as the dresser. Here is where the nightstand started:

The nightstand is just a side table really, but its doing the trick. The nightstand was newer than the dresser therefore I felt that it needed to be sanded and distressed before it was painted.

You can’t really see in the picture below, but I took the claw side of a hammer and scraped the top and sides, I also used the hammer to knock a flat head screw driver into the wood to make nicks on the top and sides of the table. Basically, do everything that you shouldn’t do to most tables and you will get the desired effect.

Please excuse the unmade bed and cords in the pic, but I ran out of time after getting all the painting done. Also, as you can see in the bottom right of the picture I am going to have to clean up a slight paint spill on the carpet. Anyways, what do you think?
